Deep Massage Therapy
Sarah Burke (Hornby) DPT, BSc. HK, MSc. PT, RMT, CAFCI, Registered Physiotherapist and Registered Massage Therapist
After completing her BScHK degree from the University of Guelph, Sarah went on to obtain her professional degree in physiotherapy, MScPT, from the University of Toronto in 2004. Sarah has also recently completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2024.
Since graduating, she has gained experience in a variety of settings including private orthopaedic clinics, long-term care homes, and fitness facilities. Prior to her recent relocation to midtown Toronto, she was the owner of a private orthopaedic clinic for 8 years just north of Toronto.
Sarah has also obtained post-graduate courses and certifications in Acupuncture, Graston Technique, manual therapy, strength and conditioning, and is currently studying Pilates.
Sarah has been an avid athlete throughout her student and professional career, having been apart of both the University of Guelph’s and University of Toronto’s Varsity Swim Teams. She has also participated in many triathlons, and running races, including marathons, and triathlons such as Ironman Florida and World Championship 70.3 events.

Katherine Cvornyek BScPT, MCPA, Registered Physiotherapist
Katherine is the owner of Eisenhauer and Smith Physiotherapy clinic. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1988. Following her graduation, she worked at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto for 1 year treating both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic and neurological patients. She then moved to San Diego and worked at Sharp-Rees Stealy for 5 years where her focus was in outpatient Orthopedics. During her time in San Diego, she completed her advanced manual therapy training (Australian approach) for both spinal and peripheral injuries. She is also trained in the McKenzie approach. She moved back to Toronto in 1995 and joined Eisenhauer and Smith Physiotherapy. Over the past 20 years, she has continued her post-graduate education advancing her expertise in orthopedics, vestibular training, acupuncture and orthotics. She continues to use evidence-based practices to design her individual patient care. In her spare time, she is an avid runner. She is currently involved in teaching at the University of Toronto Physical Therapy Orthopaedics Unit as a clinical reasoning small group facilitator. Laura Gardonio HonsBA(Kin), BScPT, MCPA, FCAMPT, Registered Physiotherapist
Laura graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a BA in Kinesiology. She then went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. At the post-graduate level she has successfully earned a Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy from the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is registered as a Fellow with the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). Laura has been working in private practice since 2003, with expertise in orthopedics, manual therapy and sports. She frequently uses acupuncture as part of her treatment approach, along with individual exercise prescription. Laura has also received special training in the rehabilitation of the vestibular system. She has had the opportunity to work abroad as a physiotherapist in New Zealand, where she gained invaluable international experience. Laura is a former competitive gymnast who now enjoys participating in weight training and tennis to maintain fitness and health. Maheeswari holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences and earned her Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) from Dayananda Sagar University, where she specialized in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation. With over three years of clinical experience, she has worked with a wide range of patients, providing care in areas such as post-surgical rehab, chronic pain, and neurological recovery.
Her clinical expertise spans treatment of various musculoskeletal conditions, including those involving the lower back, knee, shoulder, elbow, and wrist. She is trained in lumbar spine mobilization, stroke rehabilitation (including gait training), and vestibular physiotherapy. Additionally, Maheeswari is rostered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario to perform acupuncture (dry needling).

Einat Mei-Dan PT, BScPT, MScPT, MCPA, Registered Physiotherapist
Einat graduated from Ben Gurion University in Israel with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2003. She also completed an Honours Master of Science in Physiotherapy with the University of Haifa, Israel as well as post-graduate orthopedic training in manual techniques (i.e. Mulligan), KinesioTaping, Dry Needling, and functional movement screening. Following her graduation, she practiced in both hospital and private clinic settings. Later, adding clinical instruction for Physiotherapy students and teaching assistance at University of Haifa to her practice. In 2005, Einat joined the Sports Medicine Centre at the Wingate Institute – Israel National Institute for Sports (as a physiotherapist and also as the clinical director from 2011 to 2013), treating athletes from various sports and ages. Einat has had the opportunity to work with Israel Olympic team, accompany them to their training camps and competitions – this included the Israel Olympic team to Singapore in 2010 – the first Youth Olympic games and 2012 London Summer Olympic games as chief physiotherapist.
Since moving to Canada with her family in 2013, Einat completed the comprehensive bridging program for international trained physiotherapists at the University of Toronto and was acknowledged with the 2018 Academic Excellence Award. Sameena graduated from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy in September 2008. She worked as a physiotherapist in India for 7.5 years before immigrating to Canada with her family 9 years ago. She has worked in various orthopedic settings, hospitals, and health clubs. She has been very active in expanding her expertise and areas of practice by taking various courses, which include those by Mulligan, 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, clinical Pilates from APPI Institute, medical acupuncture and dry needling from APTEI, and in areas to support patients with concussions, cancer and with vestibular conditions. She has also completed AIM level one. She is currently also pursuing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana.
Sameena brings an eclectic approach to her work with a positive energy mindset to support her patients to be successful in achieving their personal health and wellness goals. She takes a holistic and multi-modal form of approach with regards to her assessment and interventions which can include patient education, pain management with or without modalities depending on the scenario, manual therapy, therapeutic exercises and functional rehab based on mutually set goals.
